Fruitful synergy between Action for Mother and Babies and Federation of Health Union in Kosovo

A recent meeting with Action for Mother and Children of the working group of neonatal referral system project was joined by representatives of our other KOSANA partner, Federation of Trade Unions of Healthcare Workers in Kosovo. Deputy president, Mr. Blerim Delija and his team consisted of lawyer Nora Murataj provided essential input that will solve one of main obstacle in development of the new neonatal referral system for Kosovo; the assignment of health care workers on daily operations of referral system. They provided solutions using the current legislation and sub-legislation acts. This marks one of most substantial gains and impacts of KOSANA project in support of Civil Society Organizations (CSO-s) and their input Health Care System reform. This gain will result in saving lives of newborns through constructive cooperation of CSO-s, Ministry of Health, Healthcare Administrators as well as health care workers.
