On April 20, the Working Group for Training and Education in Peja region was established for four economic sectors; Tourism, information technology, metal processing and wood processing. Group members besides the business community from the above-mentioned business sectors were also from NGOs, vocational schools, municipalities, and vocational training centers. The working group today also eletected the president. Mr. Burim Berisha from the Information Technology sector COM-ING, supported by close associates from the Metal Processing Sector. Flamur Bakalli (Bakalli Metal) and wood processing (Bellino and Ukaj) as well as from the tourism industry by z. Nol Krasniqi (Balkan Nature Adventure). The purpose of this group is to promote public-private dialogue regarding the training and education of the workforce through communication, agreements and counseling. This working group is part of the Youth and Employability project and aims at identifying the needs of businesses and services of educational providers and adapting them to market needs. This initiative is implemented by the Institute for Training and Economic Development ITED with financial support from Solidar Suisse Kosovo.
