Regional conference on Youth and Employment held in Zencia of Bosnja and Hercegovina

On 30 September in Zenica was held regional conference of project Youth and Employment. The participants of conference were project partners of Solidar Suisse Kosova from BIH; ZORA and Youth Communication Center, Serba; Youth Council Krusevac and KOCKA , Kosovo; Syri I vizionit. The participants presented the results of 2016 among others we highlight;

Kosovo; training and licsing 73 teachers of primary school in career orientation in Peja region based on European model of 5 steps and drafting curricula for career orientation. Implementation of career orientation in 10 schools of students in 9 grade and covering about 2000 students

· Changes in enrollment of students; in 2013 about 32 have enrolled gymnasium while in 2016 about 104 students have been enrolled in vocational schools

· Over 35 agreement signed between vocational school and businesses and over 80 internships concluded

BIH; During 2013-2016 over 800 job places have been facilitated

· Organization of occupational fair and training of 120 counsellors

Serbia; Improved of teacher’s competencies in 25 secondary schools in Novi Sad

· Drafting and implementation of monitoring tool for career orientation

· Trained about 163 young people from correctional house in different profiles and accomplishment of internship in businesses.

· Promotion of post penal service

At the end of conference, the participants agreed that the future interventions to include parents of council of parents as from last survey conducted by 64% the parents influence in decision of career path of their children or chose profession for them.
